Faculty of Science

The Faculty of Science is one of the largest among Canadian universities, with more than 6,800 undergraduate and 600 graduate students. It aims to advance scientific discovery and knowledge and promote scientific literacy and understanding in our community. Established as a stand-alone Faculty in 1967, Science has grown to eight departments and schools and is an active partner with McMaster’s Faculties of Health Sciences and Engineering in five interdisciplinary graduate programs.
