McMaster Advanced Control Consortium (MACC)
Overview
The McMaster Advanced Control Consortium (MACC), established in 1988, promotes process automation and systems engineering through academe-industry collaboration. It includes companies from diverse industries like petroleum, chemical, steel, and food. Directed by five faculty members from McMaster University's Department of Chemical Engineering, MACC's research team includes graduate students, research engineers, post-doctoral fellows, and undergraduate students. Over 30 years, MACC has significantly benefited both the university and its member companies, producing highly skilled graduates who are valuable assets to the process industries and their technology suppliers.
