Global-Glocal Research Centre (G2RC)

Overview

The Global-Glocal Research Centre (G2RC) builds on a legacy of visionary philanthropy and commitment to advancing global health research.

G2RC is a vibrant and interdisciplinary community of researchers focused on advancing health equity across local and global contexts by studying the social, structural, cultural, and biological factors that shape health and well-being.

Built on the foundational generosity of the Chanchlani family, the G2RC has grown from the original roots of the Chanchlani Research Centre. This legacy of support continues to shape our mission and growth. The G2RC is now situated within the Mary Heersink School of Global Health and Social Medicine and operates. This new academic home strengthens our capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration and reinforces our commitment to addressing complex global health challenges.

The G2RC provides a dynamic and intellectually enriching environment for students in statistics, epidemiology, and medicine, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and critical inquiry. Our research advances scientific discovery while engaging deeply with the social, structural, cultural, and clinical dimensions of health, all in service of promoting health equity across local and global context.

The G2RC also provides an exceptional training environment for students in statistics, epidemiology, and medicine. By examining how ‘omics intersects with health, our researchers engage not only with scientific discovery but also with the socio-cultural and clinical applications of this knowledge.
