Protein metabolism and growth of term infants in response to a reduced-protein, 40:60 whey: casein formula with added tryptophan

Abstract

The effects of an experimental reduced-protein (13 g/L), milk-based formula with a whey-casein ratio of 40:60 and added tryptophan (Trp) (490 mumol/L, or 100 mg/L; EF) were measured by growth and protein biochemistry in term infants from 0 to 12 wk postnatally.
