Tourniquet use for peripheral vascular injuries in the civilian setting
Abstract
BACKGROUND: Haemorrhage in peripheral vascular injuries may cause life-threatening exsanguination. Tourniquets are used extensively by the military, with increased interest in the civilian setting to prevent deaths.
