Macrophage Function Disorders
Abstract
Macrophages are sentinel cells of the innate immune response. Macrophages recognise pathogen-associated molecular patterns (e.g. microbial products) and endogenous ligands (e.g. apoptotic cells) through a broad and adaptable range of pattern-recognition receptors.
