Abstract

BACKGROUND: Patients with chronic migraine and medication overuse are significant consumers of health care resources. OBJECTIVE: To determine whether botulinum toxin type A prophylaxis reduces the cost of acute migraine medications in patients with chronic migraine and triptan overuse.
