Treatment and prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism during pregnancy
Abstract
The treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in pregnant patients is challenging for several reasons. Coumarins can cause embryopathy and other adverse effects in the fetus.
