Modulation of the Irrelevant Sound Effect by Organizational Factors: Further Evidence from Streaming by Location

Abstract

An irrelevant sequence of discrete auditory tokens disrupts serial recall markedly if successive tokens differ, but the disruption is less marked if the sound is repeated.
