Abstract

Fiber-reinforced elastomeric isolators (FREIs) represent a relatively recent type of elastomeric device. In contrast to traditional steel-reinforced elastomeric isolators (SREIs), FREIs are constructed with multiple layers of rubber pads and fiber layers instead of steel laminas.
