Gamification is one way that may help students understand machine learning and data analytics concepts. However, little is documented on graduate student and instructor experiences with such learning experiences. As such, this course description of PUBHLTH 713: 1) outlines the learning scaffolding that was used to engage students in the topics of AI, machine learning and data analytics; 2) describes the SAS Cortex Analytics Simulation Game; 3) preliminary feedback from learners and instructors on their experience engaging in the learning units.
