Introduction

Abstract

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book provides secondary data to assess the potential for achieving Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 4 on health and gender equity for young people in Ghana. It examines the interpretive politics of gender equality, as articulated by Liberian women on the basis of their experiences as they navigate political, local, and international paradigmatic systems that simultaneously hinder and present opportunities for gender equality. The book provides a global overview of the patterns in the employment of women in the renewable energy sector. It also provides a contribution to knowledge, information, and geospatial analysis of gender research, aimed at the 2030 SDGs. The book also provides a thematic overview of the volume, demonstrates the interconnections between gender (in)equality and sustainable development, and lays out future agenda to advance sustainable gender geography.
