Linking Runoff to Groundwater in Permafrost Terrain
Abstract
Frozen materials with abundant ground ice are impermeable to groundwater movement and storage. Suprapermafrost groundwater in the active layer (seasonally frozen and thawed zone) is limited in quantity but important for runoff generation.
