Wetland Successional State Affects Fire Severity in a Boreal Shield Landscape
Abstract
Boreal peatland ecosystems are generally resilient to low severity wildfire. However, climate change may increase wildfire intensity and frequency, potentially shifting wetlands to less wildfire resistant states.
