Effects of bilateral kindling or bilateral sub-threshold stimulation of the amygdala or septum on muricide, ranacide, intraspecific aggression and passive avoidance in the rat

Abstract

No differences were found between muricidal and non-muricidal or between ranacidal and non-ranacidal hooded rats in septal or amygdaloid after-discharge thresholds. Bilateral kindling or bilateral sub-threshold stimulation of the amygdala or septum did not induce or inhibit muricide or ranacide, facilitate intraspecific aggression, or impair performance on a passive avoidance task.
