Impact Toughness of A Pipeline Steel

Abstract

Impact fracture toughness of a pipeline steel was studied as a function of temperature and of the orientation of the crack with respect to the rolling direction. Toughness criteria, such as JId and KId, were determined. Precracked Charpy specimens were used in this investigation.
