Abstract

Economic optimization is a key tool in ensuring competitive chemical plant operation. Traditional steady-state real-time optimization (RTO) is suboptimal in many applications where the plant exhibits frequent transitions or slow dynamics, thus requiring the use of dynamic RTO (DRTO).
