Lossy-to-Lossless Compression of Medical Volumetric Data Using Three-Dimensional Integer Wavelet Transforms

Abstract

We study lossy-to-lossless compression of medical volumetric data using three-dimensional (3-D) integer wavelet transforms. To achieve good lossy coding performance, it is important to have transforms that are unitary.
