Widely wavelength-selective integrated ring laser in Al2O3: Er3+

Integrated Al2O3:Er³⁺ ring lasers were realized on thermally oxidized silicon substrates. By varying the degree of output coupling from the ring, wavelength selection in the range 1530-1557 nm was demonstrated. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
