Ultrashort Pulse Generation at 1075 nm with a Mode-Locked Semiconductor Laser and a Ytterbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier

Abstract

Powerful ultrashort pulses are generated using a hybrid MOPA consisting of a passively mode-locked semiconductor laser and a Yb-doped fiber amplifier. Pulses 2 ps in duration are amplified to an average power of 0.8 W. ©2006 Optical Society of America
