New electroluminescent materials based on alkaline earth gallates

A new range of alkaline earth gallates has recently been found to exhibit excellent electroluminescence (EL) when doped with Eu, Tb and Dy. Bright red EL (76 fL at 60 Hz) is achieved in amorphous phosphors for the first time.
