IDENTIFICATION AND QUANTIFICATION OF ULTRASONIC ECHOES IN PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY.

Abstract

Only very few ultrasonic studies are available in humans wherein Highly Reflectile Echoes (HREs) from myocardium have been evaluated. A qualitative analysis of the HREs correlated with patient profiles has shown that the HREs arise due to gross fibrosis in cardiac muscles.
