Cell immobilization in hydrogel materials

Abstract

Hydroxyethyl methacrylate-methyl methacrylate (HEMA-MMA) microencapsulated xenogeneic hepatoma cells were implanted into various tissue locations. Factors affecting tissue response were identified while characteristics related to biocompatibility were measured.
