Measurement of Modal Power Distribution in Multimode Fibers Using Tilted Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

A novel method is proposed to measure modal power distribution of multimode fibers using built-in tilted fiber Bragg gratings. Demonstration with a few-mode optical fiber is presented.
