abstract

  • Data from a large national database report venous thromboembolism rates of 0.77% and 1.14% after hip arthroscopy at 30 and 90 days, respectively. Although this is very encouraging, risk stratification based on individual factors must be applied to determine in which patients it is best to administer venous thromboembolism prophylaxis after hip arthroscopy.
