Here we propose a method for testing how the responses of so-called “FM duration-tuned neurons (DTNs)” encode temporal properties of frequency modulated (FM) sweeps to determine if the responses of so-called “FM duration-tuned neurons (DTNs)” are tuned to FM rate or FM duration.
