AMPK-ACC signaling modulates platelet phospholipids and potentiates thrombus formation

AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) α1 is activated in platelets on thrombin or collagen stimulation, and as a consequence, phosphorylates and inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC).
