A novel feed back/feed forward control method for active filters

A feed forward controller is usually used to control the output current of an active filter. In this paper, using a feed back controller along with a feed forward controller is discussed. Advantages of this new control technique are better harmonic mitigation and robustness of the active filter system. Effects of this controller on the output current and behavior of a typical active filter are described. Simulation and experimental results show the viability of the proposed control method.
