Correlation Method Based Bio-Composite Material Temperature Estimation Utilizing Ultrasound Signals

Abstract

In this paper, we present a one step forward to online monitoring of Bio-composite material processing temperature. A temperature estimation of Bio-composite utilizing Ultrasound Signal (US) is investigated. First US were applied on Bio-composite material heated to different temperature and the reflected signal is recorded. Then auto correlation method is used to address the max correlation coefficient between the detected signal at certain temperature and the recorded data. Simulation results show that the method is successfully detecting temperature between 25°C and 200°C.
