Large Enhancement of Conversion Efficiency Using A Novel SFG + DFG Cascaded Wavelength Conversion Method

Abstract

Novel cascaded $\chi^{(2)}$ wavelength conversions based on sum frequency generation and difference frequency generation (SFG+DFG) is proposed and demonstrated. Conversion efficiency is enhanced by 6 dB as compared with the conventional cascaded SHG+DFG wavelength conversion configuration.
