Abstract

Information about the metabolic functioning of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the central nervous system is clinically important for the biochemical assessment of disorders of locomotion and mood. These clinical conditions may result in abnormalities of -rate of synthesis of dopamineactivity of enzymesdensity of dopaminergic neuronsdensity of dopamine receptors andneurochemical anatomy of dopamine.
