Mobilizing Justice: Towards Evidence-Based Transportation Equity Policy

Mobilizing Justice is a 5 year and approximately $6 million project led by Professor Steven Farber at the University of Toronto. Of this funding, $2.5 million was received from SSHRC and $3.4 million in matching funding was acquired from the project’s Canadian University collaborators (including UofT, McGill, McMaster, Simon Fraser University, Polytechnique Montreal) and over a dozen non-academic partners. I am now leading Theme 1: Prioritizing Populations, which aims to uncover the experiences of people historically underserved by transport systems. One of my roles is to administer $75,000 in funding for five Case Studies. Of this, $20,000 is going directly to my PhD student (Alexandra Sbrocchi) to support her research.
