Professor and Researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a McMaster University Expert (Canada). Experience in the intersection of the areas of Human Sciences, Social Sciences and Health Sciences with an emphasis on fields of Education, Health, Public Policies and Culture. Master's and Doctorate advisor in the postgraduate program degree from the NUTES Institute of Science and Health Education. Bachelor in Dentistry (1999) and Master in Educational Technology for Health (2002), both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Master in Psychology
(2008) and PhD in Communication Psychology: Social Interaction and Human Development (2012) both by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB - Catalunya/ España). Previous professional experience (2004-2014) at the National School of Public Health from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (ENSP/FIOCRUZ) and at the Institute of Social Medicine from State University of Rio de Janeiro (IMS/UERJ). Since 2014 he has worked at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) where he coordinates the Science Studies Laboratory . He acts as leader at CNPq of the "COGITARE Research Group: Studies in Politics, Training and Human Work". Develops studies in the following topics: "Public Policies, Work and Assessment in Education", "Professional and Teacher Training in Sciences and Health" and "Cultural Studies in Science and Health Education". He currently coordinates the research project: "The Incorporation of Virtual Reality Technologies in Education, Science and Health; and the development of Innovative Pedagogical Experiences in Metaverse Environments". Research interests Topics: i) Public Policies of Education and Health; ii) Health Work and Training; iii) Teaching and Teaching in Higher Education in Health; iv) Assessment and quality of health training; v) Life History, work processes and Teacher Training and Health professionals; vi) Political Formation, Social Rights and Popular Education vii) Community Psychology: intersubjectivity, Social Intervention and Human Development; viii) Information and Communication Technologies in Education; ix) Research-Action-Participation (IAP) x) Social Epistemology and Critical Thinking Theories and Decolonial in Latin America
