Katherine Boothe
Associate Professor, Political Science

Dr. Katherine Boothe, associate professor at McMaster, is a member of the department of Political Science and the Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis (CHEPA). Her research focuses on comparative public policy in advanced industrial democracies, with a focus on health policy, particularly the development and reform of public pharmaceutical insurance programs. She has written on the development of public pharmaceutical insurance programs in Canada, Australia, and the UK, and her current research focuses on changes in drug assessment and reimbursement policies; and she has presented to the Parliament of Canada and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. She holds a PhD and an MA from the University of British Columbia and a BA from the University of Alberta.
