Absolute dipole oscillator strengths for molecular and dissociative photoionization of COS (10–50 eV) and CS2 (10–40 eV)

Abstract

Dipole oscillator strengths (cross sections) for the photoionization and fragmentation of COS and CS2 have been determined from electron-ion coincidence measurements over the photon energy range up to 50 and 40 cV, respectively. These results are combined with partial photoionization oscillator strengths obtained previously by dipole (e, 2e) spectroscopy to investigate the dipole induced fragmentation of the ion states of these molecules.
