Hypodermoclysis in the Care of Older Adults: An old solution for new problems?
Abstract
Subcutaneous infusion (hypodermoclysis) is a simple, safe, and effective technique used to administer fluids into the subcutaneous tissues. This technique is indicated for fluid replacement when there is a need for repetitive venipuncture, veins are inaccessible, or there is recurring infiltration at intravenous sites.
