Differential Toxicity of Cis and Trans Isomers of Dichlorodiammineplatinum

Abstract

Nephrotoxicity is the dose-limiting toxic effect of cis-dichlorodiammineplatinum (cis-platin) in humans. Its stereoisomer transplatin does not have any toxicity at equimolar concentrations, and it also possesses little antitumor activity.
