Abstract
We wished to study how infections might trigger relapses of autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and encephalomyelitis (EAE). We hypothesized that immune responses to heat shock proteins (hsp) induced by an infection could modulate responses to autoantigens.
