Particle Coalescence and Bubble Dissolution in Rotational Molding

Abstract

The production of a hollow plastic part from polymer powder particles during rotational molding requires the formation of a homogeneous melt. The latter involves the coalescence of particles, often referred to as sintering, followed by the formation of bubbles and the densification of the melt through bubble dissolution.
