Silicone Boronates Reversibly Crosslink Using Lewis Acid– Lewis Base Amine Complexes
Abstract
Silicone elastomers are normally thermosets, which are not readily recycled or repurposed. The few examples of thermoplastic silicone elastomers depend on reversible covalent and non-covalent molecular interactions.
