A carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) cycle-coupled model, CLASS-CTEMN+ was developed by incorporating soil and plant N cycling algorithms in the Canadian Land Surface Scheme (CLASS) and the Canadian Terrestrial Ecosystem Model (CTEM), used in the Canadian Global Climate Model.
