Analyzing ferrofluid transport for magnetic drug targeting
Abstract
Experimental and numerical investigations of magnetically induced localization of ferrofluid and its subsequent dispersion are performed in a forced flow. The ferrofluid accumulation behaves as a solid obstacle in the flow as the competing magnetic and fluid shear forces give rise to a rigidly bound core region followed by a washaway region at its wake.
