Direct oral anticoagulants
Abstract
The direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) are the mainstay for stroke prophylaxis in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation and treatment of acute venous thrombosis. They are attractive alternatives to warfarin because of their efficacy, ease of prescription and safety profile.
