Parent and Caregiver Perspectives of Their Child's Transition From Paediatric to Adult Care: A Meta‐Ethnography

Abstract

Summary

Parents/caregivers play multifaceted roles during their child's transition from paediatric to adult healthcare.

There is a need for structured support systems that can empower parents/caregivers to better support their child's healthcare transition.

These findings will help inform the development and validation of a parent/caregiver transition readiness questionnaire which can enhance the preparedness, confidence, and knowledge they need to support their child's transition.
