Abstract

The Five-Fact story activity introduces students to the basics of storytelling. Learning outcomes for this activity include identifying the parts of a narrative or story, evaluating the characteristics of a compelling narrative or story and applying these ideas to a science-based narrative, and creating an interesting oral or written narrative or story with minimal cues. This simple and flexible activity can be customized for any level of undergraduate or graduate students studying any technical field.
