The Influence of Moral Values on Information Security Policy Compliance in AI-Monitored Environments

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of moral values on employee compliance with Information Security Policies (ISPs) in AI-monitored environments. While prior work like the UMISPC acknowledges the role of values, it lacks a robust theoretical framework. This study addresses this gap by examining how specific moral values explain ISP compliance. Furthermore, it explores how AI-enabled security monitoring moderates these relationships, recognizing the increasing prevalence of AI in security practices. Data will be collected via an online survey from employed workers in North America. This research contributes to the infosec literature by providing a deeper understanding of the interplay between moral values, AI monitoring, and ISP compliance, offering valuable insights for both theory and practice.
