Communication regarding breathing support options for youth with Duchenne muscular dystrophy

BACKGROUND: Ventilators for home use, manual and mechanically assisted coughing techniques, and the services of in-home respiratory therapists are options for youth with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
