Abstract

When designing an undergraduate PBL course, one has to keep in mind that there is a need to create an infrastructure for delivering such a course. For example, there needs to be provision for building or converting classrooms into problem-based learning rooms with appropriate facilities. There is also a need to design a course evaluation policy and faculty development and training. In addition, one needs to think about course management structures. This book does not intend to address these issues in depth, as we believe they deserve more space and they could be expanded in a complementary book to this one. However, in the following paragraphs, we will provide readers with an outline of some basic ideas under the headings of course evaluation, faculty development and training and course management.
