The varved sediment succession of Crawford Lake, Ontario, Canada: GSSP for the proposed Anthropocene Epoch

Abstract

The Crawford Lake sedimentary sequence in Milton, Ontario, Canada, has been chosen as the Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) for the proposed Anthropocene Series/Epoch, with its inception occurring at 1952 CE in the mid-20th century.
