Optical Back Propagation For Fiber Optic Communication Systems

Abstract

Various types of optical backpropagation (OBP) schemes for dispersion and nonlinearity compensation of fiber optic systems are reviewed. The OBP based on bidirectional Raman pumping is found to be the best choice.
